Acetal or polyacetal is a semi-crystalline thermoplastic and is a member of the family of plastics called polyoxymethylene (POM), also refer to as Delrin (trade mark) plastic. This material offers high mechanical strength and rigidity, excellent wear, low moisture absorption and excellent dimensional stability. Acetal solid plastic sheet is classified as an engineering plastic and, due to its unique properties, is ideal for use in a wide range of industries and is also one of the best engineering plastics for machining.
